50th Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Ackerman on Dec. 28 1906 at their home on Chase. In Feb. 1864 he settled in Chase after service in the Civil War from 1862 through June of 1863.

Mr. Floyd E. Randall and Miss Louise F. Miller were united in holy wedlock at high noon on wednesday, Dec. 11th, at the home of the bride's parents in Chase Township, Lake County, Rev. Edwards officiating, using the ring ceremony. Miss Matie Pease played the wedding march. The bride was beautifully gowned in tan, trimmed white satin and lace, carrying white carnations. The groom was dressed in the conventional black. Miss Emelia Miller acted as bridesmaid and William Miller as best man. The parlor and dining room were tastily decorated in evergreens and smilax. About forty guests were present. After the ceremony and hearty congratulations had been extended to the happy couple, all were invited to the dining room, where they partook of a sumptuous dinner. Miss Etta Shelton was mistress of ceremonies. Mr. and Mrs. Randall left for a short wedding tour, and will be at home to their many friends after January 1st.

Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Smith celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last Saturday evening, April 25th. About forty invited guests were present. Many beautiful presents were presented them and a fine program was rendered. Supper was served. All reported a very enjoyable time, wishing Mr. and Mrs. Smith many more happy anniversaries.

A Quiet Home Wedding
Wednesday, Dec. 30th, at high noon, in the presence of twenty five relatives and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Geo Saunders gave their only daughter, Hazel Henriette, to Mr. Andrew Waite in marriage. The bride was gowned in a handsome light pink satin gown. The bodice was hand embroidered and trimmed with oriental lace. The groom wore the conventional black. Both bride and groom mingled with guests until the hour for the ceremony arrived, when they quietly took their places beneath the wedding bell, with Mesdames Howard and Hugh Saunders as matrons of honor, and Messrs. H. and A. Saunders as best men. With a simple yet impressive ceremony, Elder J. J. Cornish pronounced them husband and wife. Congratulations followed, then an excellent dinner was served. The decorations, which were red and green, were prettily arranged. A number of very pretty and useful gifts were received, consisting of silver, china and crystal ware. Mrs. Waite has grown from childhood to womanhood in this community and is highly expected.
Mr. and Mrs., Waite left here Monday on their wedding trip. They will visit Drayton, Toronto, Niagara Falls and London, Canada, returning to Reed City in about six weeks. After a short stay with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Saunders, they will go to their future home of Sandborn, N. Dakota, and with them go the best wishes of their friends.

A pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. B. Wibert in Pinora township, nine miles Northwest of this city, at high noon on Wednesday, Dec. 30th, when their daughter, Miss Edith M. , was united in marriage to Mr. Henry M. Gingrich, Rev. E. Rath officiating. About thirty relatives and friends were present to witness the ceremony. The bride was attended by Miss Carrie Gingrich, sister of the groom. Herman Wibert, brother of the bride, acted as best man. Miss Carrie Gingrich presided at the organ. The bride was becomingly gowned in cream cashmere, trimmed in taffeta and lace, and carried white carnations.
After the ceremony, congratulations were extended and a sumptuous wedding dinner served. The happy couple were the recipients of many beautiful gifts, including china, linen, silverware, etc.
The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wibert and is well known in this vicinity, being a graduate of the Reed City high school. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Gingrich and is an enterprising young farmer.
Mr. and Mrs. Gingrich left on the 2:05 p. m. train, Wednesday, on a wedding trip to Grand Rapids, Detroit and Ann Arbor.

A quiet home wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Spears, near Chase, on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 1910, when their daughter Harriet was united in marriage to Rev. Reuben Parshall, pastor of the M. E. Church at Entrican. At 11:30 the wedding ceremony was performed, Rev. S. E. Kelley of this city, officiating, the ring ceremony being used. Mr. and Mrs. Parshall took the 2:05 p. m. train south for Entrican, where they will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Parshall are both graduates of the Reed City High School in the class of 1901, and have a host of friends here, who join in hearty congratulations.

Alexander Sauntman of this village and Miss Ruth Wiggins of Big Rapids were married at Reed City on Wednesday of last week. Both the groom and bride are well known here. Mr. Sauntman came from Indiana some years ago and is a prosperous Chase farmer. Mrs. Sauntman was a Chase girl and left here some time ago to become a student at the Ferris Institute. The young couple will make their home on the Sauntman farm north of town. We extend them our best wishes.

Miss Mary J. Miller to Become Bride of Clyde B. Tanner.
A wedding that will be of interest to the many friends of the bride will be that of Miss Mary J. Miller and Mr. Clyde B. Tanner, formerly of Chase, which will be solemnized at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. George Brearly on Upton Avenue,, this evening. The Rev. George Bullen, pastor of the M. E. Church, will be the officiating clergyman. After the ceremony the happy couple will leave immediately for a wedding tour and later will reside near Syracuse, N. Y.
The Bride was raised in Reed City and has taught in our public schools for a number of years. She is a young lady who enjoys a large circle of friends and acquaintances and was a universal favorite among her associate teachers in the public schools.
Mr. Tanner was raised at Chase and taught school in this vicinity where he is well and favorably known. He is a self made young man and is now a traveling salesman for the Phoenix Chair Company of Sheboygan, Wis.
Miss Miller and Mr. Tanner graduated from the Mt. Pleasant normal school in 1900. Miss Miller later attended the state normal at Ypsilanti and graduated in 1907 from the primary and kindergarten departments. They have the best wishes of their many friends for a long and happy life.

Miss Carrie Gingrich and Herman Wibert were married at the home of the bride's father, Michael Gingrich, at 3 o'clock this afternoon, by Rev. E. Rath. Only the families of the bride and groom were present. Mr. Wibert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Wibert, residing nine miles northwest of town, where he resides as manager of his father's farm. Mr. and Mrs. Wibert have the best wishes of a large circle of friends.
